ABOUT YSH
NOT JUST ANOTHER TERMINAL
Built by building.
YSH started as a simple Java shell. Then it kept growing.
What began as a command-line project evolved through multiple generations of the same project into a graphical terminal with networking, utilities, themes and a real filesystem.
YSH is developed by continuously rebuilding the parts that matter instead of simply adding another feature on top of the old system.

YSH v8
THE CURRENT GENERATION
Rebuilding the foundation.
YSH v8 is not simply a collection of new commands. Its biggest changes are underneath the terminal itself: the filesystem and terminal input systems were rebuilt, with the surrounding systems adapted around them.

Terminal Input
The old input dialog was removed. YSH now uses a complete terminal window for input and output.

Cursor & Controls
A block cursor and stricter movement behavior make the terminal feel closer to an actual shell.

Calculator
The calculator handles expressions instead of acting like a collection of isolated arithmetic buttons.

Notes
Notes commands were simplified into a cleaner structure: Note → Add → View → List.

A portable YSH device.
YSH One is the idea of taking the shell out of the desktop and turning it into a small, portable computing environment.
The planned hardware is based around a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with a compact display, rechargeable power and Linux.
